@MadBadger Friend, I will be as kind as I can: What am I on about? What YOU on about? Half an hour?! You CLEARLY didn't get a complete starwars encyclopedia for your 13th birthday. It, and numerous online sources explain that the Death Star can only fire once a-day, aka 24hrs. Unless your talking about it's itty bitty ship killing mode, which it can fire far more rapidly. And even if it DID have a 30min recharge, and the rebels DIDN'T get vaporized, they still wouldn't have made it out in time.

@MrMikeyboy16 That was under normal conditions. Under battle conditions they could fire a second shot in half an hour but then they'd have to replace most of the lasers.

You're trying to tell me that they can't aim the laser A FUCKING LASER at an area of what is about 100m by 100m? it's not aiming at 1 fighter it's aiming at the group... remember there were 32 rebel fighters spread out... not single file... just a random shot would have done in most of them. And theres this thing called PREDICTIVE fire... I mean just fire where you think they will be... DS2 showed it was possible for multiple 1/2 strenght shots to be fired.

@IncapableLP because the novel Death Star retconed the bullshit 24 hour rule and the death star can fire again after a 30 min cool down and recharge under battle time conditions.

@legoguyfilms No it dosn't... wtf are you on about? 24 hours? they can have it ready for firing half an hour after the first shot. Which would give the rebels enough time to get the ships over and blow it up anyway.
